Acerca de esta película

From the director of Chocolat and the Oscar-winning(R) screenwriter of Slumdog Millionaire comes the inspirational comedy Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. When Britain's leading fisheries expert (Ewan McGregor) is approached by a consultant (Emily Blunt) to help realize a sheikh's (Amr Waked) vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert, he immediately thinks the project is both absurd and unachievable. But when the Prime Minister's overzealous press secretary (Kristin Scott Thomas) latches on to it as a "good will" story, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible. 2011 Yemen Distributions Ltd, BBC and The British Film Institute. The book is a clever, wryly satirical take on politics that is amusing and intriguing in its plot development. The movie loses much of the fun of the book, it is way too earnest, and the linear nature of the movie means their is no real surprises.

If you like 'dry humour' don't miss this one. Salmon in Yemen? Fish turn up in the strangest of places!

great movie.. Ewan was perfect and Emily well matched.. Amr made a great Sheikh.. And all movies with Kristin Scott Thomas are bound to be good.
