Based on Jane Austen's classic novel, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY tells of the Dashwood sisters, sensible Elinor (Thompson) and passionate Marianne (Winslet), whose chances at marriage seem doomed by their family's sudden loss of fortune. I absolutely love this movie! It's especially amazing when you're under the weather, cozying to a cup of warm soup and a plush blanket, or with shortbread cookies and tea!

Emma Thompson did an excellent work. Her breakdown at the return of the love of her life was so human, she was finally free.

English humor and pomp at its best, politics and decor not withstanding of course. Great movie, wonderful story. My favorite author, as good as it gets. BRAVO
