Based on Jane Austen's classic novel, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY tells of the Dashwood sisters, sensible Elinor (Thompson) and passionate Marianne (Winslet), whose chances at marriage seem doomed by their family's sudden loss of fortune. I own two copies on dvd, always have it on my dvr and now on my phone! One of my all time favorites. Great characters, amazing cast and I love over analyzing the story! (Ex.. the prude, Fanny, has tight curls. The free spirit, Marianne, has flowy loose curls!)

Jane Austen had a helluva knack for telling a love story. I've seen this movie sooooo many times, and yet I'm dying to see what happens next EVERY TIME. Perfect chick flick with an excellent cast.

I absolutely love this movie! It's especially amazing when you're under the weather, cozying to a cup of warm soup and a plush blanket, or with shortbread cookies and tea!
