Shock and Awe is a thought-provoking political thriller, based on the shocking true events in the aftermath of 9/11. from award-winning director of A Few Good Men and Stand by Me, Rob Reiner. The film features A-list cast James Marsden (X-Men, Westworld), Academy-Award nominee Woody Harrelson (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing , Missouri), Jessica Biel (The Sinner), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil Franchise), Academy-Award winner Tommy Lee Jones (No Country for Old Men) and Rob Reiner. In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, a group of journalists working for Knight Ridder and covering George Bush's planned invasion of Iraq in 2003 are sceptical of the president's claim that Saddam Hussein was hiding "weapons of mass destruction". Journalists Jonathan Landay (Woody Harrelson) and Warren Strobel (James Marsden) decide to play on very dangerous territory by challenging the White House. Shock and Awe depicts their race against time to unveil the truth and their attempt to change the course of history.

Shock and Awe has a great cast. It is not the most exciting docudrama, but it is probably closer to the truth than most. 5/5
