This movie holds a special place in my heart, this along with the games really helped me through a hard time in my life. The themes of dealing with depression and isolation hit really close to home. The visuals and story are beautifully done. I realize it detracts from the story of the original game, but they did such a great job.

The plot isn't smart but it's a bizarre and scary story. The visuals are pretty ghastly. Pyramid Head is impressive. I've sat down to watch it twice over the years. I consider myself a horror movie fan. It's worth checking out.

They sure don't make horror movies like they used to lol! '06 was a great year for them! Funny I remember at one point I actually had a phase where I wanted to make horror movies.
