The first film was a very eerie and atmospheric film, with dark lighting and subtle imagery for a haunting experience. Here, however, is a film that had none of that. There was no atmosphere, the surprises were predictably lame, the story was forced and uninteresting, and (spoilers) they did the lamest thing possible by turning pyramid head into a hero (well he comes in to rescue the hero in a scene that we were supposed to cheer at... all it got was me yelling "oh come on!"). Pass on this one.

The story, which is convoluted by itself, constantly contradicts its predecessor with an entire scene devoted to changing plot points from the first film. So, already it fails as a stand-alone & sequel. It mainly barrows from Silent Hill 3, but poorly translates the many great characters from the game to film. The acting is pretty bad all around even from the three big names in it. Most of its scares are completely cheesy, and fall flat. Everyone should just avoid this film even if you're a Silent Hill fan!

this movie is honestly bloody terrible. I deeply regret spending the $4 to rent this, and should have just skipped it entirely. This film is constantly going against what it's supposed to be; the sequel to silent hill. The talent in this movie is lacking to say the least, mostly towards the actors who play their roles, but also towards the directors, who have seemed to change the entirety of the film's story line from what it used to be. I wouldn't recommend this film.
