Sam Baker's (Molly Ringwald) 16th birthday should be perfect and memorable, but her whole family is so preoccupied with her older sister's (Blanche Baker) wedding that they completely forget her big day. But catching the eye of Jake Ryan (Michael Schoeffling) would make everything better for Sam. Anthony Michael Hall, John Cusack, Gedde Watanabe and Haviland Morris co-star in writer-director John Hughes's classic 1980s teen-angst comedy.

Just purchased, and it wont play. It says try again, but no progress or any status. Disappointed. I would like $3 back.

Awesome mid 80s classic that defined my early teens. They truly don't make them like this anymore. If you haven't seen this, do yourself and favor and give it a watch.

Great movie and funny as well..watched it so many times.Loved when Jake showed up at Sams sister wedding at the end♡
