Some of the other 'others' could have been explored more I feel, the acting pretty good but there is something lacking in the unease they should create in the characters.

Very good movie. I could not get subtitles on and being a bit hard of hearing it made it difficult for me to enjoy the story as much as I would have liked to. I will be watching the 1972 version soon and, yes, subtitles will be there.

Adapted from an exceptional book. It's lacking in some key areas but films can only achieve so much. It still gets you asking interesting questions. The film is quite dark and the acting not too shoddy. Really enjoyed but see why some wouldn't get it.
