Acerca de esta película

From acclaimed director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and screenwriter Kurt Sutter ("Sons of Anarchy"), SOUTHPAW tells the riveting story of Billy "The Great" Hope, reigning Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World (Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal). Billy Hope seemingly has it all with an impressive career, a beautiful and loving wife (Rachel McAdams), an adorable daughter (Oona Laurence) and a lavish lifestyle. When tragedy strikes and his lifelong manager and friend (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) leaves him behind, Hope hits rock bottom and turns to an unlikely saviour at a run-down local gym: Tick Willis (Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker), a retired fighter and trainer to the city's toughest amateur boxers. With his future riding on Tick's guidance and tenacity, Billy enters the hardest battle of his life as he struggles with redemption and to win back the trust of those he loves. 2015 Check Hook LLC. My rating isn't a reflection of the film because I didn't get paste 5 minutes. I have a Sony Xperia and I have rented the film in HD however when I watch it, the sound lags and isn't in time with the film. I tried starting the film again and also pausing the film but that didn't work. I then tried watching the film in SD and it was still not working. Very disappointed.

This film is amazing and really shows how much of a good actor jake is. One of the best sporting dramas I've seen. It's a shame franchises like star wars or marvel make so much money and get all the acclaim and awards. It should be films like this that reap the rewards and get remembered.

Another good boxing movie and about a man trying to get his life back and his daughter. I really enjoyed this movie and the boxing scene's are great, Forrest Whitaker is excellent as always.
