Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves), an LAPD cop on SWAT detail, has a fearless nature and a keen understanding of the criminal mind. That, and some luck have kept him alive. But Jack's luck is being put to the ultimate test. An elusive bomber-extortionist Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper) is seeking vengeance after his latest ransom scheme is thwarted. Payne gives a personal challenge to Jack: A bomb is rigged on a city bus, which will detonate if the speedometer drops below 50 MPH. Poor Annie (Sandra Bullock) gets shoved into the driver's seat, while Jack does his best to save the day.

Good movie! Definitely a different character for Keanu Reeves! 😃 I think the comment "Don't let your kids watch it. 27 f-bombs" is funny!! Hello moron.. it's rated R!! Anyone who'd let their kids watch a rated R movie isn't going care about the f-bombs!

One of my all time favorite movies! Keanu and Sandra share great chemistry, possibly due to the understanding that they both had crushes on each other during filming (Watch Ellen clips). Visuals are very descriptive and well screened. I applaud all cast and crew.

It's a suspenseful action movie so it's good for what it is. This is the movie that made me fall in love with Sandra Bullock as an actress when I was a teen. - Lauren
