Stillwater es un thriller dramático dirigido por el ganador del Oscar® Tom McCarthy y protagonizado por Matt Damon en el que un obrero estadounidense de Oklahoma viaja a Marsella para visitar a su hija, de quien se ha distanciado y quien ha sido encarcelada por un asesinato que afirma no haber cometido. Confrontado con las barreras del idioma, las diferencias culturales y un complicado sistema jurídico, Bill Baker construye una nueva vida en Francia al mismo tiempo que exonerar a su hija se convierte en su misión personal.

Calificaciones y opiniones

Matt Damon is correct. Gone are the days when an "arrogant, unthinking (white) male character who runs roughshod over everyone & everything without seeming consequence" could serve as a protagonist outside of an action movie. The movie would have been better served if it had been centered on the daughter's lopsided character, but it still would have been a non-starter. A gross attempt to capitalize on news headlines that completely misses the important narrative of its story. Don't bother.

Yeah so this movie can make you doze off if you don't focus, a bit slow but has some very powerful and emotional scenes. Matt Damon's performance can't be compared, he did so well making everything seem natural and flawless. This story has lot's of lessons and can bring the human in you. Highly recommend it.

Nothings more pathetic than a white liberal actor playing the part of a right winger. I'm not even a Trump supporter don't even care to vote cause both parties suck! however I did see where this garbage was going. It did however put me to sleep since I do have a bad case of insomnia, so the movie was useful for something.
