First time I saw this movie I was sold on how fun it could be to join and be a part of the USAF. So I joined. This movie shows how it was to be in the Air Force in the mid to late 1950's before the Vietnam war. Great period movie. I highly recommend this movie if you love watching B-36s and B-47s...you'll love this movie. (Also, watch for a Warner Brothers short titled "24 Hour Alert", staring Jack Webb on TCM. Even better... with a lot of early jets including the Century Series fighters.)

SAC at their prime during the cold war. No high technology. Pilots were WW2 hands who could really fly.

This movie is great. The only really good footage of the giant B-36. Love those old cars from the 50's, too.
