After his girlfriend unceremoniously dumps him on the first day of his last summer home before college; a heartbroken JJ (Pico Alexander) throws himself into his summer job working for his dad; Jack (Ed Burns). While cleaning cabanas at a Long Island beach club; JJ falls for an older coworker; Debbie (Lindsey Morgan). Meanwhile; JJ's neighbor Frankie (Anthony Ramos) sprints down the boardwalk when he hears his old girlfriend Suzy (Caitlin Stasey) is back in town. High school sweethearts long ago; Suzy was "the one who got away" for Frankie and they quickly fall back in love. Until Suzy's ex abruptly appears to win her back. As the summer ends; the young men must look ahead to futures unknown.
