Acerca de esta película

From Michael Bay, the producer of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", comes the true story of Amityville. In November 1974, a family of six was brutally murdered. Now, a year later, an unsuspecting young couple, George (Ryan Reynolds, "Blade: Trinity," "The In-Laws") and Kathy Lutz (Melissa George, TV's "Alias"), and their children move into the house that was the site of the horrific event and is now haunted by a murderous presence. What follows is 28 days of unimaginable terror. With demonic visions of the dead and relentless screams of terror, this is the haunted house story that isn't just a movie - it's real.

First, there is huge controversy whether this is "real" or "true". The felon doing life said it isn't who would you believe? Those with the money needs or someone never getting out of prison for murdering his whole family? Secondly, it came out right after the The Excorcist smash hit in 1973. Which was based on the 1949 St. Louis boy story that was true. But here was just a money making ploy that worked.. No truth other than sometimes family members kill each other.

The original was one of the best horror movies I've ever seen.. I tried to look at this movie without comparing the two. With that I still only give it a 2. Jump scares don't impress me and the ending was lame. The story was eh. Now...I failed with not comparing it.. The original made this one look stupid.... and people gave this 4 stars??? Wth what's wrong with you people? You have no concept of what scary is!

Great house. Hot Hot Hot Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George... However its a lackluster retelling of one of the greatest modern american Stories/Lies ever told. And a cardinal sin was committed by changing the main character... 112 Ocean Avenue looked more like the house from what lies beneath... So overall its disappointing.
