Head for cover! Don Knotts and Tim Conway are Wild West outlaws who can't hit the broad side of a barn -- but never miss when it comes to rounding up laughs! The hilarity begins when a roving bachelor (Bill Bixby) inherits three young orphans and a wealth of problems. When the youngsters stumble upon a huge golden nugget, they must fend off the greedy townspeople. So the kids join forces with the bumbling outlaws to stage a robbery of the gold. Little do they know a surly gang of sharpshooters plans to beat them to the draw! If you're aiming for fun, saddle up and head out with THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG!

If you enjoy Don Knott's and Tim Conway's comedy work then you'll mostly enjoy this film. It's a part of my childhood, but it's still a bit of a weird (love/family) story. Two people, who barely know each other, are "suggested" to get married to take custody of three kids that they're not even related to. Ok...? Anyhow, if you can look past this and some mild racial stereotype tropes you'll find a delightful movie with a lot of Disney charm.

Probably my second favorite Knott/Conway movie first of which would be private eyes. I have seen this movie a lot growing up and I totally forgot about it until recently and had to watch it when my kids are old enough to walk and talk they will definitely get the opportunity to watch this movie. ..

if you find absolutely nothing funny about this movie you have zero sense of humor! its funny, witty, heartwarming...everything a good family movie should have and its always a classic!
