Denzel Washington is Robert McCall, an ex-assassin with a mysterious past, who returns to action to serve vengeance for the exploited and oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends' protector by taking on the mafia.

Horrible. In any action movie there is some give and take betwen the bad guys and our hero. In this movie, the bad guys met our hero, end up getting slapped down, and when they attempt to regroup, our hero appears out of nowhere and slaughters them all. first the younger brother, and then the older brother. At least with a hero like John Wick he suffers, gets hurt, and rallies to overcome the odds against him. McCall just kills EVERYONE before they even realize what a threat he is to him.

Liked the first two installments more, especially One. At this time, after three movies, we should have more background on McCall. It doesn’t dig any deeper. Also, after 3 movies, he should have a woman interest. Spoiler alert—he goes on kind of a date in E3 but then it gets dropped w the big payback ending. Too many dark shots. If there’s a E4 would like to see him reconnect and check in on Chloe Moretz Character and get a real Love interest and tell more origin.

The inimitable Denzel delivers the goods, as usual. "Equalizer 3" is a fun action-drama set in the beautiful scenery of Naples, Italy. My only criticism of the movie is that Robert McCall takes down the bad guys too easily, without breaking a sweat. Sure, the guy's a one-man army and it's fun to watch, but, there wasn't one bad guy who even made him work, a little. I wanted a higher body count and more challenging fights.
