Acerca de esta película

In “The Expendables 3”, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to, end the Expendables, but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.

Bad writing and pace make this the toughest Expendables flick to sit through. Performances by Harrison Ford and especially Mel Gibson were weak due to the very limited screen time for both and unimaginative cookie cutter villain role for Gibson. The action is good, if a little too over the top in some points. Overall, if you're looking to jump back in with your favorite action stars of the past, this is a solid rental.

The weakest of the three movies, by far. I enjoyed the first two because it was a great collection of "classic" action stars all doing what made them famous. This one drops that formula and brings in "young blood" comprised of mostly unknowns and pulls the film out of the only shtick that made the films worth watching. 2 stars but the third star comes strictly because Kelsey Grammar somehow managed to actually make the 5th Grade level dialogue sound believable.

I've seen the first and the second one and I feel like that even if the third one is a five star film the first two should have earned deficits in the star category. So there you go. Balance restored. Probably not. I've seen the promotional material for this one. And did Kelsey Grammer's brief foray into X-Men really provide him enough action movie cred to merit an appearance in this novelty crap?
