In this funny, heartfelt story, Billi's (Awkwafina) family returns to China under the guise of a fake wedding to stealthily say goodbye to their beloved matriarch, the only person that doesn't know she only has a few weeks to live.

I legitimately have no idea how this got such good reviews. 15 minutes in and both my wife and I wanted to turn it off. But we stuck with it and painfully made it through the full movie. There is so much wasted time in this film. The music is blah. Storyline is meh. Lots of weird awkward scenes. Ending is odd. I will certainly not be watching this one again.

Awkwafina exhibits raw emotion in this film about a Chinese- American family bidding farewell to their beloved Grandma. We should all be so lucky to learn new things about different cultures. For ex. The subject of Death is a very controversial topic that spans across the globe. I just wish this movie didnt move at the pace of a turtle.

I think it's Overated, made me expect more and now kinda feel disappointed and empty. It basically has no content, content to even make me sad.
