This movie was very slow moving and tended to bounce around more than I would have cared to keep up with. While the acting was done well, the storyline lacked very much to keep me interested. I'd like to assume this style of movie would appeal to someone else; it most certainly left me with little when I walked out after watching it in it entirety. I'm not opposed to character driven stories, and actually find them quite refreshing when done well. However, this wasn't done very well and I was unimpressed.

Haven't even read the book and everything made sense. This movie was so enjoyable and really makes you think into the deeper meaning. I get why some critics may not agree, but this movie, it was just amazing! You should really look into watching this. Not to mention the acting was amazing!!

I was moved deeply by every aspect of this movie. The art, the dramatic acting, the love and pain of growing up with losses unrequitted... The beauty of nature portrayed by art, the appreciation of the beholder. The Goldfinch, it's raw grief, cloaked in courage, will stay with me, in heart.
