Doce extraños se despiertan en un claro del bosque. No saben dónde están ni cómo llegaron ahí. Tampoco saben que han sido elegidos ... para un fin muy específico ... La Cacería. En la sombra de una oscura teoría de la conspiración en Internet, un grupo de élite mundial se reúne por primera vez en una mansión remota para cazar humanos por deporte. Pero el plan de este grupo está a punto de descarrilarse porque una de las cazadas, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), conoce el juego de Los Cazadores mejor que ellos. Ella invierte la situación de los asesinos, acabándolos, uno por uno, mientras se dirige hacia una misteriosa mujer (la dos veces ganadora del Oscar® Hilary Swank) que se encuentra en el centro de todo. De Jason Blum, el productor de las series ¡Huye! (Get Out) y de 12 Horas para sobrevivir (The Purge), y Damon Lindelof, creador de la serie de HBO Watchmen y co-creador de la serie de televisión Lost, llega un provocador y satírico thriller. La Cacería está escrita por Lindelof y su colaborador de Watchmen, Nick Cuse, y dirigida por Craig Zobel (Z para Zachariah, The Leftovers). Blum produce para Blumhouse Productions acompañado de Lindelof. La película es producida por Zobel, Cuse y Steven R. Molen.

Calificaciones y opiniones

This was supposed to be a thriller and all it did was make a joke out of Democrats and Replicans. I'm not a fan of the two party system myself but you don't see me making a multimillion dollar dumpster fire of a movie to bash on it (and not even in a funny way) do not give them your money. If you want this sort of thing done right go watch the purge.

Little short and pretty loaded. It's just a movie full of extremist, first grade name calling. On both sides. I know people on both sides of the isle that many things don't apply to in this movie. It's so charged. It makes both sides look bad while making them hate each other more. Nobody looks good. Yikes. The weird stories. Good actors that get killed or have 5 mins of screen time. Or seconds. It takes both sides and makes cartoons out of them. I don't even understand what I'm supposed to get from this. Betty Gilpin was good though? What a nightmare concept done poorly.

This was wholly disappointing. In between potentially amusing moments, it doesn't miss an opportunity to punch down or go for the lowest rung of humor. It's even more of a let down given how good some of the fight scenes, but it gets more cringe-inducing to have to suffer through the script to get to the very few good moments. At its essence, it's an alt-right version of Ready or Not, with the only redeeming part of this movie is that it ends.
