Some people who gave a low rating, were expecting a big action/suspense film. But this is more of a drama centered around [Bryan Cranston's character] and the emotions he goes through as an underCover agent trying to climb Pablo Escobar's cocaine trafficking crime hierarchy. Cranston great acting is on full display here, where his subtle facial expressions can tell you a lot about his current thought process(like after seeing someone get killed). The story was good, but not great, but it gets the job done.

Let me start by saying that if you're into big drug-related, crime action movies, this is not what you're going to expect. This was a movie where the hype of its primary topic outweighed its quality, thus resulting in the production of a rather bland film, though not a bad one. It's lackluster scenes make it more of a poorly scripted drama than an Action & Adventure film (which is for some reason how Google categorized it), and at the same time failed to grab my attention, or my emotions at any point in the film. They didn't make use of the cast's talent, and the quality of the performances (which were decent) in the film were undermined by poor storytelling and a lack of interesting character details, all of which failed to bring the audience to any level of enthusiasm throughout most of the movie. You can't bring the pieces together if they weren't there to begin with. However, if you are looking for something to watch on a saturday night and have an interest in crime, smuggling drugs, and anything Pablo, than its worth a go.

If you find any enjoyment watching documentaries and non-fiction movies, you will enjoy this movie! Fantastic acting, the main actor fits the role like Liam Nesson in the Taken movies. A little hard to follow at times, very minor, but would highly recommend!
