The first-ever full-length theatrical LEGO movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

This movie was such a surprise for me. I avoided watching it for a long time after it came out because I presumed it would be terrible, but after hearing one of my favourite YouTubers harp on about it I decided to give it a go. It was a really really fun film, with many surprise references and a poignant conclusion. If you're on the fence about whether to watch it, do yourself a favour and watch it.

If you're expecting plots and characters worthy of the Oscars then check yourself and realised this is a simple, fun film about Lego. Of course Lego want you to buy more sets, of course it's a glorified marketing tool, and if you're judging it low on stars because of that then I'd ask 'what exactly where you expecting'. I really enjoyed, my 4 year old who hates films thought it was ok too. Be open minded. The clue's in the title... The LEGO movie. It's Lego.

Took a while 2 get into the film..plotline and story ok, nothin outstanding other than the graphix of the film awole....an ok watch...the downside 4 me was the ending as it felt like advertisement 4 LEGO itself and how much fun LEGO can b 2 play with. Id hav scrapped the ending as it took the enjoyment factor out of the film and strayed away from the charecters created in this film, hense the 3 rating.
