THE LAST FULL MEASURE tells the true story of Vietnam War hero William H. Pitsenbarger (Jeremy Irvine), a U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen medic who personally saved over sixty men before making the ultimate sacrifice in the bloodiest battle of the war. Thirty-two years later, respected Pentagon staffer Scott Huffman (Sebastian Stan) on a career fast-track is tasked with investigating a Congressional Medal of Honor request for Pitsenbarger made by his best friend and PJ mission partner (William Hurt) and his parents (Christopher Plummer & Diane Ladd). Huffman seeks out the testimony of Army veterans who witnessed Pitsenbarger's extraordinary valor, including Takoda (Samuel L. Jackson), Burr (Peter Fonda) and Mott (Ed Harris). But as Huffman learns more about Pitsenbarger's courageous acts, he uncovers a high-level conspiracy behind the decades-long denial of the medal, prompting him to put his own career on the line to seek justice for the fallen airman.

As a former USAF air rescue combat medic, fore runner to pj,s, I think this is the only movie that has shown what we and they really did and still do. THIS WE DO THAT OTHERS MAY LIVE. I am 76yrs old now and this brought back vivid memories of rescues I made, my unconscious pilot and I were attacked by two young vc,viciously, we survived, them no. This movie brought me to tears.Watch this movie and thank God for these men that go in harm's Way. FLY FIGHT WIN

Based on a true story... I am not just proud of our men & women in uniform for their Service for me; but what they do for each other. This film embodies that love of Brotherhood that ascends beyond death. Family is of blood. Whom you are born to & whom you have bled with forged in gun powder & smoke. You & I both would go to the ends of the Earth for Family. We honor them and live for those who can't.

The Last Full Measure tells the story of the actions of an individual on a certain day in Vietnam and how these actions impacted every single person who saw it as well as his family who heard the accounts. It is truly a wonderful story but if you are a parent the story has added meaning for you as you can empathize the love and sorrow the Pitsenbarger parents have for their son. After watching this movie, you will want to hug the ones you love a little longer. A really good movie.
