Acclaimed director Mary Harron (AMERICAN PSYCHO, THE NOTORIOUS BETTIE PAGE) returns with the chilling story of Rebecca (Sarah Bolger), a young girl who, haunted by her father‰'s suicide, enrolls in an elite boarding school for girls. Before long, Rebecca‰'s friendship with the popular Lucy (Sarah Gadon) is shattered by the arrival of a dark and mysterious new student named Ernessa (Lily Cole). Lucy falls under Ernessa‰'s spell and becomes emotionally and physically consumed by her glamorous new friend. This movie was good. The actor I recognized from underworld who plays the male poetry teacher. And the head mistress is from ever after who plays the queen in the movie ever after with drew Barrymore. I was a little disappointed towards the end. Reason being? I didnt like the ending song, I think it would've been better if they played the piano piece she tried playing since her father was a pianist as well. I also felt they gave the two girls that were best friends a little to much girl on girl acting.

This movie is one of my favorites.. A must watch.. Well put together from beginning to end. STRONG STORY LINE
