I can't imagine what all of these 5-star reviews see in this movie. While there are a couple of good jokes they are few and far between. It almost seems like they forgot they were shooting a comedy in some scenes and just came up with the joke on set. By the time you make it to a decently set up joke, the barrage high school humor has established such a terrible mood that it's hard to enjoy these genuine moments of humor. I'm sure people will defend this movie's rubbish plot as being a parody of the buddy-cop genre but even if it is, this parody is neither insightful nor funny. Parody or not, if your story sucks there's no excuse about it.

The other guys is one of my personal favorites! The only thing is its a tiny bit pricey. Now I know that some movies such as star wars can be quite a bit more like a price $25. The thing with these types of movies is that they are very large titles and have a tomato meter of over 80-90%. So I am going to recommend for people who love comedies but if you're not the type of guy who likes more serious then I wouldn't spend a good $10. Hope this helped

This movie is bad, but not bad enough to allow you to stop watching it. There are many points where it seems they were just trying way too hard to be funny, which is very agravating to watch. However, there are some genuinely funny parts in this movie. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5.
