Acerca de esta película

Winner of the Academy Award® for Best Actress, Dame Helen Mirren gives a spellbinding performance in The Queen, the provocative story behind one of the most public tragedies of our time - the sudden death of Princess Diana. In the wake of Diana's death, the very private and tradition-bound Queen Elizabeth II (Mirren) finds herself in conflict with the new Prime Minister, the slickly modern and image-conscious Tony Blair. The Queen, also starring Academy Award® nominee James Cromwell (Best Supporting Actor, Babe, 1995), takes you inside the private chambers of the Royal Family and the British government for a captivating look at a vulnerable human being in her darkest hour, as a nation grieving for its People's Princess waits to see what its leaders will do. Suspenseful, heartfelt and riveting, it's a fascinating story you won't soon forget.

I rented and viewed this movie last night and while I really enjoyed the film, I have to say that the post-production cropping that they used on the film made it almost unwatchable. Multiple times people's heads were nearly chopped off. It didn't make any sense to me and I thought it really ruined the look and feel of the original movie. I know that the majority of the people probably don't care for black bars, but when the post conversion process causes scenes where an actor literally has his eyes out of the top of the frame I think you've gone too far. While I enjoyed the narrative, I just kept thinking to myself: whoever did the post-conversion on this thing really screwed up what I'm sure is a beautiful movie.

Was overwhelmed by the intence drama of real life circumstances. Was truely a heart touching story, to be seen a second, and third time! Helen Mirren, & Michel Sheen could not have done better in thier depiction of the queen and prime minester. Our queens willingness, (influenced by Tony Blair), to step out of the pomp and ceremony of the monarchy, into the commoners shoes to mourn princess Dianas' death with them, was, most impressive!

Oh no not that pampered living in a bubble thing... hasn't she done enough damage to her country now they want to make a propoganda movie sympathetic towards her. She deserves no sympathy but to be held accountable for what she is doing with the country. 🤦‍♀️
