Acerca de esta película

Working together for the 12th time, John Wayne and director John Ford forged The Searchers into an indelible image of the frontier and the men and women who challenged it. Wayne plays ex-Confederate soldier Ethan Edwards, a believer more in bullets than in words. He's seeking his niece, captured by Comanches who massacred his family. He won't surrender to hunger, thirst, the elements or loneliness. And in his obsessive, five-year quest, Ethan encounters something he didn't expect to find: his own humanity.

Not only my favorite western, but one of my all time favorite movies. Anyone who says John Wayne could not act, or always played the same character, you need to watch this movie. Without a doubt Wayne's best performance and a movie that has influenced so many directors. (Steven Spielberg's favorite movie).

The seminal American western and one of the best movies ever made. A must see ... If you thought John Wayne couldn't act think again.

John Wayne (Marion Morrison) is an icon to me. With his western looks and his low voice, he became one of my favorite actors. John Ford is one of my favorite directors, due to his choice of story telling, his intelligence, and his choice of John Wayne in his major pictures
