Acerca de esta película

Based on a true story, Academy Award® nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo stars in the heroic role of Zahra, an Iranian woman with a burning secret. When a journalist (Jim Caviezel) is stranded in her remote village, Zahra takes a bold chance to reveal what the villagers will stop at nothing to hide. Thus begins the story of Soraya (Mozhan Marnò), a kind woman whose cruel, divorce-seeking husband trumps up false charges of infidelity against her, which carry an unimaginable penalty. Soraya and Zahra attempt to navigate the villagers' scheming, lies and deceit to prove her innocence. But when all else fails, Zahra must risk everything to use the only weapon she has left -- her voice -- to share Soraya's shocking story with the world.

About the mistreatment and stoning of women in countries around the world. It broke my heart to see a human being treated this way. It saddens me that this barbaric practice still exists. My God would never allow this.

This was one of the saddest movies I've ever seen, I was so angry and I couldn't stop crying at the ending. But, the acting was superb and they brought this horrific story to life. The fact so many women still live like this in the world is sickening.

I think this is one of the best drama movies I have seen. the story makes me wonder why a God of love would let these type of rules be part of his holy word THE BIBLE. its a very strong movie.
