The fictional romantic story here is ordinary, nothing special. Director James Cameron's attention to historical detail and passion about the famous doomed ship come across strongly in the film as well as Kate Winslet's acting performance. The film is made to high standards in every regard, except for writing. For a long 3 hour and 14 minute film, "Titanic" is surprisingly engaging from beginning to end. It's both a highly entertaining and emotionally wrenching spectacle of a movie.

Titanic is one of the best movies Ive ever seen and this is coming from a grown man in his 30s. I happen to not be very into love stories either but this movie always hit me a certain way from different angles. While the actual titanic history may be slightly inaccurate the source material is there. its a beautiful love story that teaches us to cherish what we have and who we love, live out our dreams with nothimg heald back and also that we are all equal regardless of class, origin, etc.
