A young couple, Denise (Alyssa Milano) and Roger, decide to make the move to Alaska in hopes of striking it rich on a gold deposit. With little background knowledge, they fly into beautiful Surprise Bay—right in the heart of the wilderness. Denise and Roger settle into their cozy new life with great enthusiasm, but when supplies start to get low and their next shipment doesn't arrive, the tension begins to build. To fix their situation, Denise and Roger take off on a lengthy journey for the next town, but the treacherous terrain causes them much distress and soon they are caught in a dangerous quest for survival.
