Après avoir été l’un des meilleurs pilotes de chasse de la Marine américaine pendant plus de trente ans, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell continue à repousser ses limites en tant que pilote d’essai. Il refuse de monter en grade, car cela l’obligerait à renoncer à voler. Il est chargé de former un détachement de jeunes aviateurs de l’école TOP GUN pour une mission spéciale qu’aucun pilote n’aurait jamais imaginée. Lors de cette mission, Maverick rencontre le lieutenant Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, le fils de son défunt ami, le navigateur Nick “Goose” Bradshaw. Face à un avenir incertain, hanté par ses fantômes, Maverick va devoir affronter ses pires cauchemars au cours d’une mission qui exigera les plus grands des sacrifices.

Good movie. Technically inaccurate but fun anyway. Better accuracy than the original. Kinda rips off Star Wars though with the whole difficult approach and tiny target plot, so the writing could have been better.

I can't stop recommending this movie!! I saw it 6 times in theatres and it was phenomenal every single time! As a film student, it warmed my soul to realize that REAL movie making was still being done in an age where CGI is so misused and abused. Top Gun: Maverick walks the line beautifully between paying homage to the original, and bringing its own story and flare to the table. It's fun, punchy, and thrilling (and not without some great humour). I absolutely recommend this movie to ANYONE!

I grew up with top gun, and loved it. I was excited but worried that this movie wouldn't be bad. Thank goodness because this movie not only equals the og but surpasses it. My personal favourite movie of all time
