Acerca de esta película

In 1970, John Wayne won an Academy Award. for his larger-than-life performance as the drunken, uncouth and totally fearless one-eyed U.S. Marshall, Rooster Cogburn. The cantankerous Rooster is hired by a headstrong young girl (Kim Darby) to find the man who murdered her father and fled with the family savings. When Cogburn's employer insists on accompanying the old gunfighter, sparks fly. And the situation goes from troubled to disastrous when an inexperienced but enthusiastic Texas Ranger (Glen Campbell) joins the party. Laughter and tears punctuate the wild action in this extraordinary Western which features performances by Robert Duvall and Strother Martin.

Classics like Ben Hur or The African Queen should never be remade. I watched the remake of True Grit and it was disgraceful. Nobody can or should even try to fill the boots of John Wayne. Although Glen Campbell's performance was lacking in the original film Kim Darby and Robert Duvall were superb. John Waynes' performance as always, perfect.

A great movie starring the best actor of all time John Wayne. He definitely deserved an Oscar in all his movies but this is his most deserving. Glenn Campbell made a great song 4 this movie but acting was okay. Kim Darby was great and should have made more movies. Robert Duvall should have played La Beaf but still the best. And trust me I'm near 13 and have already seen most of Waynes movies and I'm the biggest fan

Best John Wayne of all time. The new one sucks bad and Jeff Bridges screws it all up. Sorry but I don't think you can ever remake a John Wayne movie as good as the old. Have you ever seen a Elvis Presley remake ??? No !!! And for good reason, they both were one of a kind in thier own way. Leave well enough alone and buy this movie one can never get tired of watching it if your a true western fan.
