In an alternate 1985 United States, superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the Doomsday Clock -- which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union -- moves closer to midnight.When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the outlawed but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion -- a disbanded group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers -- Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future.Their mission is to watch over humanity... but who is watching the Watchmen?

Only rent this movie if you're jonesin to give a negative review. Granted, it might get better after fifteen minutes, but that's all I could take of the grading ass sound track. The blatant smut and political agenda was like a failed attempt to imitate V for Vendetta. You think it's DC so it might not be good but it can't be terrible. It's bad.

I have not seen a movie as good as this one in years. Let's take out the incredible effects and you have one of the most incredible stories. Alan Moore is just a brilliant man, and this movie has done him justice. I also challenge you to find a better movie opening credit sequence, as the years progress and we see the history of the world pass while we hear Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are a-changin'". This is not for everyone, if you came to watch a batman like action thriller, this is not the movie.

I have yet tp watch this film. Im giving it 5 stars right now before i rent it because the cut scenes i have seen. I spent almost three days just trying to figure out the name of this movie. If you didnt like this film, chances are, you have no taste. If super heroes were real, the world would still be a dark place. This film depicts the reality we already live in. Its really NOT gods fault. Now im going to go enjoy this masterpiece.
