Acerca de esta película

Peter Bogdonavich ("The Last Picture Show," "Paper Moon") directed this wonderful salute to the "screwball comedies" of the '40s and '50s. Superstar and Academy Award-winner Barbra Streisand ("The Prince of Tides," "Funny Girl") and Ryan O'Neal ("Irreconcilable Differences," "Love Story") star as an eccentric girl and an equally eccentric young professor who meet at a musicologist's convention and become involved in a zany chase up and down the hills of San Francisco to recover four identical flight bags containing jewels and secret government papers. This box office hit also features the film debut of comedienne Madeline Kahn ("Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein").

Even though I know this movie almost by heart, it still makes me laugh so hard, I'm crying! I just LOVE Madeleine Kahn's uptight character!! Barbra is just so fabulous as the screwball, fast-talking, witty, comedienne! One of her best performances ever and she doesn't even SING in this movie! It is so reminiscent of Kathryn Hepburn's character in "Bringing Up Baby". Ryan O'neil plays the geeky, straight man so well, you almost forget what a heart throb he was at that time. It is so much fun to watch this film over & over again!!

Awesome Screenplay. Comedic One Liners that will DEFINITELY LEAVE YOU LAUGHING OUT LOUD (due to the SET UP & timing of the actor's individuality with each role all acting in Concert makes the entire movie PRICELESS)! My Favorite Go To film that always makes MY DAY SO MUCH BETTER when I’m not in a good place.

Barbra Streisand' s facial expressions and one liners make this one of my all time favorites. The San Francisco chase scene takes the cake; nothing like anything you've seen before. Side-splitting comedy.
