Erling Monsen
The best X-MEN movie to grace the franchise. As the movie takes place in the 1960's it plays around with the fear of nuclear war while giving us a great origin for many mutants such as Magneto, Mystique, and Charles. The plot revolves around forming a group of mutants to stop the immortal antagonist Shaw from starting WW3. Although the story focuses more on the relationship between the hero, Charles Xavier, and the anti-hero, Magneto. Who must fight together without the same view of what's right and wrong. Directed beautifully by Matthew Vaughn this movie has great pacing, spectacular costume design and a tone setting score. With great performances from James McAvoy, Micheal Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence that make connecting to these characters very easy.
