In the Fall of 1940, the entire population of Friar, NH abandoned their homes and walked up an ancient trail, never to be seen alive again. 70 years later, a team of researchers discover the trailhead and attempt to uncover the mystery, unleashing a violent hysteria that brings terror to a new level.

Even though the plot is over used, but the director was able to make it believe able and frightening. I honestly had to turn it off on my first viewing. The eerie music playing (as part of the story) really added to the scare-factor.

Only reason I gave it 2 stars was for effort. Didn't really even make no sense & boring. The music almost drove me more crazier than the people in the movie.

While the small budget is sometimes apparent, there are many fresh ideas to be found in this film. It doesn't use darkness, and sudden noises to create scares, but weird and uncomfortable situations.
