Liam's dad, a farmer, has ploughed up an old skeleton of a wolfblood in mid-transformation. Using a unique wolfblood skill 'Ansion' - Jana detects that the Wolfblood was in fact an ancestor of Maddy's! But as they dig the bones up vehicles arrive and the wolfbloods flee! When they return with school, a fight breaks out between Maddy and Liam and Maddy loses control just long enough for Doctor Whitewood to spot veining. Whitewood whisks Maddy into the tent to clean her up and in so doing secretly takes a blood sample to test her DNA.

It's a lunar eclipse, and Jana is bursting with excitement! This is the ultimate night for wolfbloods, one where their wolf and their human are finally at one. They become a wolf on the inside, whist remaining - for an hour - human on the outside, apart from veining and yellow eyes. It's a buzz!

On her way to school, Jana is surprised by Alric. Far from being terrified she flings herself into his arms. Jana hadn't been banished from the pack at all. Alric had sent her in to lure Rhydian into coming back with her. She has taken too long. He wants all three of them to return by the end of the day.

Maddy's parent take her, Shannon and Tom for a day in Blackpool to cheer her up, but when they stop at a small garage called The Mottled Poppy they find themselves in a predicament. Meanwhile, oblivious to all this, Jana confesses to Rhydian the real reason she came to Stoneybridge in the first place.

It's election time for student rep on the school council! Jana, now determined to be pack leader, throws up her hand which pushes Maddy to do so in retaliation. Tom, sick of the rivalry between his friends, decides to join the boys' campaign. A hurting Maddy shuns Shannon's attempts to become her second, and instead drags Rhydian into the role. To get back at Maddy, Shannon volunteers to be Jana's second, making Jana slightly suspicious at first. With Kara and Jimi also in the running, who will win the election?

Rhydian, Shannon and Maddy catch Jana breaking into Shannon's locker before school. Jana defends herself; she HAS to get Shannon's laptop to destroy the data. Maddy lands on Shannon's side but secretly, she and Rhydian know that Jana is right; it's a ticking time bomb. Meanwhile, Jimi gives some very expensive charity football tickets to Sam and Liam - which they're unsure they can pay him for - and has one spare. The K's argue over who can buy it as there's a gorgeous TV star they want to watch in the match.

Katrina is excited because she thinks Harry Averwood is to be her date that night, but she soon discovers Shannon has a date with him instead. Kara and Kay begin to plot their revenge on Katrina's behalf. With Maddy feeling responsible for Shannon's depression she hopes to put things right at the disco, despite it taking place on a no-moon night.

The class are Camping overnight in Aern Hollow before the orienteering task the next day. Liam has his ancestor's journal with him outlining how he found and tracked the werewolf he shot. In their respective tents, Maddy, Jana and Rhydian use their wolfblood hearing to listen in, telling Tom and Shannon what they hear. Liam intends to find the werewolf lair his ancestor wrote about, using this journal as a guide. Sam and Jimi don't want to know, believing him obsessed with make believe. But Maddy wants to find this lair before Liam does.

Rhydian's mother Ceri shows up to tell Jana that her father, Alric, has been deposed by the pack, making Jana the new Alpha. Jana tells Ceri she does not want to rule by fear like her father, but wants to change the wild wolfbloods' prejudices, assumptions and hatreds. Ceri says she will do as she orders. But Jana wants more - she wants Ceri to do this because she wants to not because she's ordered to. As a test, Jana tells Ceri that she will learn about tame wolfbloods and human here and assume the role of pretending to be her mother for parents evening. Maddy, Rhydian, Tom and Shannon are all shocked. It will never work!
12 Going Underground

It's the day of the full moon and, with Maddy and Rhydian absent from registration, Tom surmises they are out having fun. On the contrary, they are fleeing for their lives from Alric who has appeared and is out for revenge! They manage to escape but will Alric give up so easily? Meanwhile Liam has returned to school after his fall and has managed to convince Sam and Jimi to return with him to the tunnels...but will they find anything?

Daniel has knocked the wall through, determined to investigate these amazing tunnels which lead directly into the den. Emma is convinced their time at the house is over. Their secret is out.
