All you need is your phone number, no user names or logins. You can quickly view your contacts who are on WhatsApp and start messaging.
High quality voice and video calls
Make secure video and voice calls with up to 8 people for free*. Your calls work across mobile devices using your phone’s Internet service, even on slow connections.
Group chats to keep you in contact
Stay in touch with your friends and family. End-to-end encrypted group chats let you share messages, photos, videos and documents across mobile and desktop.
Stay connected in real time
Share your location with only those in your individual or group chat, and stop sharing at any time. Or record a voice message to connect quickly.
Share daily moments through Status
Status allows you to share text, photos, video and GIF updates that disappear after 24 hours. You can choose to share status posts with all your contacts or just selected ones.
Use WhatsApp on your Wear OS watch to continue conversations, reply to messages, and take calls - all from your wrist. And, leverage tiles and complications to easily access your chats and send voice messages.

A week ago I've noticed some problems with WhatsApp on my main device (my phone).i can write messages but it's the only thing i can do. Whenever i try to open other taps or to do other things (to check archive, to scan qr code, to change a profile picture, to change a name,or to open anything in settings. To contact support team as well).I just can't. App always closes or they send me to main menu. And sometimes when app closes, i receive message that I have a bug and it will be fixed, but when?

Secondary account standby is not active anymore since last update. Also, moving the command bar to the bottom pushes the contact list up, and now the first (and most used) contact in the chat list, is out of reach with one hand. You have to use both hands now to open the most used conversation in the app. I always use Chats (that's the purpose of this app, right?), so I don't use the other, so called, features. Meta are so desperately trying to change the messaging purpose of this app.

Absolutely stupid, abysmal behavior with backup!! Usually, when I uninstall the app from my phone, it prompts for keeping app data and I always choose Yes. When I uninstalled the app using the Uninstall option in the app's page on Google Play store, it didn't prompt to keep my data, it proceeded to uninstall immediately, wiping off ALL my local data!!! That's absolutely and incredibly stupid behavior! 👎👎👎👎👎

What's new
• You can now edit messages up to 15 minutes after sending. Long press a message and choose ‘Edit’ to get started. • Group chats show the profile photos of their participants. These features will roll out over the coming weeks. Thanks for using WhatsApp!
