This has been brilliant and enabled me to converse with my Ukrainian neighbours here in the UK. But yesterday there was some sort of update. It all looks different. Instant Voice playback of the translation has gone. Don't seem to be able to make it happen automatically. No option to change the speed of voice playback. Option to download off line language packs vanished. The "Help" available via Microsoft is all for the previous version. Notice that there are no responses to these Reviews.

Trust Microsoft to take a what was a decent, working and useful app and screw it up. Because adding AI doesn't automatically make stuff better. Particularly when you remove really handy functions like "detect language" from the list of options. It was something I used frequently. It's also something AI would actually be good at too, ironically. But Microsoft are idiots, so I'll be using a different translation app now

New version (2025) pretty useless. Doesn't appear to work offline which is a severe failure. Who decided to change a very good app into something with limited use? Seems a common failure to take an app which is intuitive and turn it into something overcomplicated. Deleting it as it won't do what I need to do any longer.
