1-Evolve Bank and Trust, Member FDIC, provides the ExtraCash account. Advances are subject to eligibility requirements, and are provided as an overdraft, which causes the ExtraCash account to have a negative balance. Express fees apply to instant transfers to a Dave Checking Account. Transfers to other accounts will take longer. The average approved advance is $160 (typically approved in 5 min), updated quarterly based on the prior 6 months. See the Dave ExtraCash™ Deposit Agreement and Disclosures for details.

3-Express fees to transfer an ExtraCash™ advance to a Dave Checking account are 3% (minimum $3) of your total advance amount, which is 40% less than the express fee of 5% (minimum $5) to transfer to an external debit card.

Ratings and reviews

If you need it in a pinch it works but expect to wait an extra 3 days before you can use it. What's really annoying is that it charges you a dollar every month "for a subscription" despite constantly asking for a tip for the service. Ultimately frustrating and disappointing, if your employer offers daily pay, or you can get an advance go with that. Only waste your time on this if you have no other option, & you can wait 3 days.

Used to be an extremely helpful app for cash advances, but please try another one! After using Dave for the past year or so, it looks like they've drastically changed. The repayment posting time has significantly been lengthened to (what some others are saying) up to a week. After reading these recent reviews from others, it's been 2 days thus far for me, but I suspect it will take longer. I'm also reading the scripted responses from Dave, and they appear to offer zero resolution.

Great app to borrow money, but if you make any type of changes to your account, update phone number or card info or anything. Expect to get your approved loan amount reset every time. So you can build it up as you use it. But when you make a change it will reset your approval to the lowest, and they also randomly remove your bank info forcing you back to the bottom amount you can borrow.
