The lessons are quick but effective. I got through a chapter and was able to follow a conversation about the topic immediately! I also love that they let native speakers give input on a learner's exercises. I don't love how frequently they ask you to buy a premium subscription. SEVERAL times each time I open the app. Notifications, pop-ups, ads within the app, after just about every lesson. It's a bit annoying.

Honestly great app, very helpful for learning a new language practically. I docked those two stars for the use of AI in their software, specifically in many of their photos and now in corrections (which are usually wrong, by the way), which I am not a fan of. I am begging you to get rid of this garbage and restore the app to its former glory. It's whole draw was that you got help from other native speakers, and that's honestly all you need. Stop the AI nonsense!

After using busuu for 182 consecutive days and dealing with constant multiple times daily barrages of "buy our premium for 70% last chance!" I completed the beginner and elementary courses, which were mostly fine. The app has a lot of issues that need fixing, and focuses too much on academics rather than learning. As soon as I completed my first lesson in "intermediate," The entire app locked. Lessons I had done prior and all future lessons are now premium only. Do not bother with this garbage.
