The app works or it doesn't. Rakuten in general is great, especially with the desktop add-on. The app only works correctly sometimes. I've reinstalled and cleared cache and it still only partly works. Sometimes I can't get into any profile/account info. Sometimes the biometrics don't work. Currently I can't see any history, it shows my last trip was 2023 (which is not true.)

Thank you for this feedback. The biometrics function is a feature of your phone. Once activated, our app may take advantage of it to verify your identity when accessing certain parts of our app. You can find a complete list of all Shopping Trips under the My Account (the person icon) section. You guys really need to get with the program and provide support for hybrids and foldable devices. I hate having to close my device when I'm shopping or browsing because Rakuten refuses to support it. So I choose to shop elsewhere. Foldable devices with bigger screens are the wave. So for that Rakuten gets the thumbs down 👎🏾 👎🏾 No foldable device support... When are you guys going to make this app suitable for foldable devices when they are open? Way overdue...

Thank you for your feedback. Since we no longer support Android tablets, hybrid devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Series may encounter issues using our app. You may shop at Rakuten.com as an alternative to using our app.

Great idea, terrible execution. Possibly deceptive trade practices. I'll add to the chorus that even purchasing through the app often doesn't give any cash back, and I need to say I'm missing cash back for obviously eligible purchases. I hope regulators look into this behavior. Rakuten is collecting a lot of our data in return for cash back, but they're not holding up their end. They're also motivating people to make purchases for cash back, then don't give it to you
