Affirmed Identity offers both Authentication-as-a Service (AaaS) and Identity Verification and Authentication (IVA) services. Key to both offerings is the integrated AffirmedID authentication app. AffirmedID provides biometric identity verification as part of every authentication ceremony. Verification is based on the use of biometrics gathered from user gestures. Cell phone device identity, a critical need, is verified using the FIDO2 protocol. Its user experience is on-par with passwordless push authentication but with enhanced phishing resistance.

The user experience is simple yet elegant. It relies on a PIN, but there is no stored copy. In other words, the PIN is only known by you, the user. It employs biometrics from gestures during PIN input to recognize and verify your PIN code. It also does this for all its identity verification needs and does so within strict PII guidelines. Its phishing resistance package extends well beyond any other thanks to its use of out-of-band authentication protocols and end-to-end encryption.
