CONTEXT AWARE

This app uses the Accessibility API to provide features that interact with the UI, intercept key presses, take screenshots, read “toast” messages, determine foreground app and capture fingerprint gestures.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission to provide features that check for failed login attempts and engage screen lock.

Ratings and reviews

Easy to use, generally does what it says. There's sometimes a battle between the application and the operating system, sadly, which can get in the way - threads not starting, or OS permissions changing - but I get the impression that the author does everything possible to work around these.

Incredibly powerful, easy to use, utterly brilliant. I have an issue with Bluetooth audio skipping when connected to my car when WiFi is still active on my Xiaomi phone. It is a very common issue. I wanted an app that would automatically disable WiFi when Bluetooth connected and vice versa. Couldn't find an app that did that but found Automate. I'm not a programmer however 2 hours later, from scratch, I'd written and tested my working automaton script that does exactly what I want. Amazing app.

A bit time consuming to use for anything complex, but at least it is capable of that if required. The charts make it fairly easy to review code later. I also purchased Droid Automation, which may be easier for simple automation, but less flexible. Tasker seems wayyyy complex, even if you have done some programming before. AutomateIt and the rest did not get much of my attention, as did not seem enough usable/useful.
