Using Avicenna, you can participate in research studies you care about. The study's consent form clearly explains which research organization is requesting your data, how your data is anonymized, who will study your data and for what purpose, and what incentives you can expect for your participation.
When you participate, you will be asked short survey questions. Depending on the study, you also might be asked to provide your location information or exercise habits. None of these are mandatory and you can drop out at any time. Avicenna always reminds you of the data you are providing.
Avicenna gives you complete control over your data. You can always review the data you have provided through your account on the Avicenna website. You also can drop out of the study any time you prefer, or delete part or all of the data you have provided, no strings attached.

used it during a research. o k. app, but notifications cease to work after my phone reboots: I have to toggle the notifications in settings to make it work again. and lately the sliders don't slide initially

I like it but having problems figuring out how to 'turn in' notifications. I want MORE.. something (sound? (LOUD) or vibration.. ANYTHING to remind me other than me simply having to remember...'oh. time to do the survey' every few hours...

App crashes all the time, data doesn't upload whether on wifi or data. Constant popups sayin app has failed to load. Im trying to help by participating in a study but the hassles with the app make it difficult

Hi Kate, Sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. This problem happened for a couple of days at the end of January, and was due to our server outage.
