Advances are subject to eligibility requirements, and are provided as an overdraft, which causes the ExtraCash account to have a negative balance. Express fees apply to instant transfers to a Dave Spending Account. Transfers to other accounts will take longer. The average approved advance is $160 (typically approved in 5 min), updated quarterly based on the prior 6 months. See the Dave ExtraCash™ Deposit Agreement and Disclosures for details.

3-Express fees to transfer an ExtraCash™ advance to a Dave Spending account are 3% (minimum $3) of your total advance amount, which is 40% less than the express fee of 5% (minimum $5) to transfer to an external debit card.

Used to be one of the best cash advance apps, but as others have mentioned on here, they recently significantly reduced the amount of money they are willing to lend people. I would always get $300/paycheck (for months, a few dozen advances if I had to guess, no missed or late payments) until a month or two ago when it changed to $50 every time. Don't bother contacting support about this issue, they'll just say its based on AI and/or and an algorithm that they can't change. Bummer.

First time using this app and I'm not impressed. I opted for the express cash advance ($3.99). After several hours and it not registering in my account I reached out to support to find out why. After dealing with the frustrating chat bot I finally was able to talk to an agent. They informed me that even though I chose express it could still take up to 3 days to register in my account. This is unacceptable. Also make sure you choose the right tip amount it's very confusing for a 1st time user.

Amazing! Really helped me out in a bind. With the express advance, I got my money within minutes. If I ever need money again, I know who I can turn to. Thanks! Edit: it was great until I needed some cash recently and I wasn't eligible for whatever reason. I was able to get $400 at one point but when I needed an extra $50 - $100, nope. I've always paid on time and left tips on occasion. They don't hesitate to take that $1 on time every month tho.
