They've recently downgraded the app to make seeing more information cumbersome. For some reason, actors roles are no longer listed in the "known for" section at a glance. Now you have to click on each title, and search for the actor to find their role. There's a similar situation with seeing the release years for titles, where they were easily viewed at a glance, but now you have to dig further to find such a simple piece of information. Anything to get more clicks though, right?

I have used IMDb almost daily for two decades, it's my go-to resource for all thing TV and film. I love IMDb. Two recent changes prompt this review, both are changes to how credits are shown on someone's page. First is the removal of the name of the role in the list (only lists name of show or movie now, not who they played), and second is the truncation of said credit list and the addition of the "view all" button. Idiotic to remove functionality and force more clicking around.

every update to this app makes it worse and worse. currently, when you go to click on the search bar, instead of taking you to the search, it will populate an advertisement at the top of the screen, moving the search bar down a bit, thereby having you click unintentionally on a topic that you don't want. update: videos are playing at full audio, even with "Tap to Unmute" displayed on the player.
