Monarch is free to try for 7 days. After the trial period, the membership fee will be billed either monthly or annually, depending on which plan you select.

Ratings and reviews

Great when it works, but there seems to always be at least one account that won't sync, and support is completely useless; they just keep asking for the same info I already gave them, blaming the aggregators, and running me around in circles until I give up or it gets fixed by a back-end update. The Android version is an SSB instead of a real app, so it's prone to reloading and dropping my changes when I lose Internet connectivity for a sec or it does "pull to refresh" while trying to scroll.

I mean, it seems like a good app with good features, but I couldn't even try it because there's no button to skip the free trial of the membership. I'm not paying for a budgeting app since I can do the same thing in an Excel sheet, admittedly with a few extra steps. Since I HAVE to get the free trial to even get into the app, that's a no go for me.

I'm fairly new to using the app, so I'll probably be back to edit, but I'm liking it so far! It very much reminds me of Mint with the functions, but the UI is more user-friendly and helps simplify things so I understand them. I also like that you can get advice from professionals through the app, because we all need it sometimes. I like it, especially considering I'm just getting into the work force and budgeting, so it helps me figure it all out easily.

* Corrected the Apple Card account syncing behavior to resume as expected when the app is reopened.
