haven't been able to play for several days because of the update. I've tried updating the app, updating my phone, clearing the cache - nothing works, and I'm having the exact same issues that other users are - screen goes black when trying to catch, open settings, or enter a gym. please fix this. halloween is my favourite time of year and i was so looking forward to catching all the pokemon, but i can't because the game is currently unplayable for many users.

Updating this review as the game has become quite literally unplayable. Have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen times a day for a week and no matter what, the app won't start. I've cleared the cache, I've restarted it. Nothing but black screen. It's been an on and off issue for ages but apparently it's finally given up completely. Niantic have ignored the sorts of complaints for years and now it simply doesn't work at all.

The last update has rendered the game unplayable. tap on a pokemon - black screen tap settings - black screen tap gym - black screen tried all the usual fixes, but nothing It's been getting so that it's only really playable with groups of friends, and certainly less playable if you are unable tobwalk miles every day (consider less able bodies folks, please), but this is jist ridiculous now. I always enjoyed the halloween events, but it looks like I'll be getting rid of the game totally now.
