Ratings and reviews

They only care about taking your money. No longer user-friendly. I've had to change tutor 4 times due to issues with availability/tutors who can no longer do classes - but then it's near impossible to transfer the hours, and you end up losing your money. The FAQs show you options that simply aren't available in the app, it keeps telling me to transfer my hours - but the option isn't there! I've had some lovely tutors but the actual app itself is rubbish.

No qualms finding a tutor. I've now had three; the booking system works well. However, one tester lesson is not enough to determine teacher suitability. Having to book a minimum of 4 lessons would be fine if you could use them with any teacher. There's no reason why a sub should be teacher specific. The classroom interface and message board seem clunky. Fed up of attachments opening in only half the screen so they can't be read or on several occasions not opening at all. Could be sleaker imo.

The app is great as a platform for language learning. But the company is run like an internet scam. Its business model seems to depend on trapping you into subscriptions and paying for lessons you can't use (im guessing because the company takes the money when you don't meet with a tutor). It's full of little traps. Restrictions on cancelling or changing your subscription, lesson credits that expire if you don't use them before the end of the month, etc.
